I watch you, there with him
Embraced
Lovers of mine that have known the heartache of each
Understood the great valleys from where we have crawled
And the undying heights to which we have gone
Lovers
I have seen you there before
Empty, yet filled
Overflowing, yet dry
What is it that you wish for?
What is it that you want?
I try to nourish
Yet it [...]

I gazed upon the midnight sky
Laying flat – quiet
Taking it in
Taking in you
You, quiet too
Holding hands
Peace encapsulated
Peace understood
Shot after shot
The stars crashed
The fireflies danced
Your delicate embrace – steadfast embers warming my soul
The meteors collided and stardust exploded above the Milky Way
And we lay motionless
Taking it all in.

She picks me up, twirls me, caresses me, startles me,
Placing me far away from what I have known
How have I grown?
I see her coming and cower for a moment,
Paralyzed by the fear that I will be carried off to an unknown land
Barren, deserted, and alone
I summon my courage, my resolve, my esteem
And then – [...]

What colour is the bliss
That you mention in passing
That you wonder in wishing
That you make in saying
What colour is the autumn moon shining down on the last harvest
The seaside ebb, sending the blue back to the depths of the ocean
What colour do you dream when you open your imagination
When you open your heart and let [...]

My grandma’s house was a special retreat for me, filled with the smells of ginger, and cinnammon and warm chocolate chips cookies fresh from the oven. Her towels were crunchy when stepping out of the shower because she had hung each one to dry in the cool autumn air on the clothes line outside. Her [...]

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the [...]

I have met the lovely eyes of happiness and adored her from afar
So wonderful, enchanting, unique
Where does she go when the door opens slightly
Cool wind blowing in to change her complexion
Droplets spraying from her carousel as she guards her perfect smile
The words fall from my lips like strange thorns from love affairs gone by
Remnants to [...]

If I were a cinnamon peeler
I would ride your bed
and leave the yellow bark dust
on your pillow.
Your breasts and shoulders would reek
you could never walk through markets
without the profession of my fingers
floating over you. The blind would
stumble certain of whom they approached
though you might bathe
under rain gutters, monsoon.
Here on the upper thigh
at this smooth pasture
neighbor [...]
